On June 6, 2024, the Cadets will have their Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR).  It is the most important event of the Sea Cadet training year.  This mandatory event is the opportunity for the cadets to display what they have learned over the past training year to families and assembled guests.  

The ACR will consist of two components: the ACR Parade and the Awards Banquet (Desserts & Refreshments).  Family and guests are welcome to attend and there will be a cost for the Awards Banquet of $20 per person (excluding the Cadet(s)).

Dear Parents,
As we approach our casino night, there is still one critical volunteer position that needs to be filled urgently, and we greatly appreciate your help in this matter.
Remaining Position:
  • Count Room Person: There is one immediate opening for the Count Room Person on Thursday, from 11 PM to 4 AM. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our casino night.
  • We aim to fill this position by Tuesday. If it remains unfilled, we will need to assign backups to ensure everything runs smoothly.

·         Please ensure that all completed background check forms are sent to [email protected] by Monday evening, if you have not already done so.
·         This is the personal email of our casino coordinator, who will then forward the forms to AGLC on your behalf.

Hi All,

We currently, we have 36 volunteers registered for the Casino, including 6 backups. Although having backups is great, we need an additional 6 volunteers to cover all shifts.


If you are waiting to sign up, please do so now.  As of May 22, we will need to recruit Angels which cost the branch money.

As a reminder our casino is scheduled for Thursday, May 30th and Friday, May 31st, 2024.  The gain from the casino is estimated to be between $35k and $80k, and it involves an average of 5 casinos in Calgary pooled over a 90 day period.  So your support will generate more than $250/hour worked for our cadets!
